A Lion Thank You

These new stamps from Penny Black called His Majesty and Circular Design make me smile.  I couldn't resist "fussy" cutting this cute lion and adding a few additional layers.

Side view of layers.

Instructions:
  • Create a 3 5/8 x 5-inch top-fold card from dark olive cardstock.
  • Stamp Circular Design in Spanish Moss on a 3 3/8 x 4 ¾-inch pieces of light olive cardstock.  Attach to the front of the prepared card.
  • Stamp sentiment and grass on a 2 1/8 x 3 5/8-inch piece of white cardstock with black ink and heat emboss with clear powder.  Mat with a 2 ¼ x 3 ½-inch piece of black cardstock. (Note: Round the upper right corners of both pieces before matting together.)
  • Stamp lion several times on white cardstock with black ink and heat emboss with clear powder.  Color and trim desired layers.  Assemble with dimensional foam. (Design Option: Use one fully trimmed image and eliminate layers.)
  • Attach the lion to the matted sentiment with adhesive.
  • Attach the artwork to the front of the prepared card with dimensional foam.

I have a special card that I will be posting on Saturday for National Scrapbook Day with more images from the new Touch of Whimsy catalog.

Hope to see you then,
Elizabeth
