Trick or Treat?

This little hedgie is too cute to be a trick!

The new Halloween sets by Penny Black have so many great images and what I enjoy the most is that they are all interchangeable.   The flying hedgie (Scary Halloween) was originally holding a pumpkin, but I borrowed Mimi’s treat-or-treat bag (Mimi Halloween) and made a switch.  Then a few black bats from Halloween Treats were sprinkled in.

Jewelry wire colored with a black Sharpie was used to create balloon strings and the bag handle.  This gave me the ability to bend and shape the strings.  The edges of the white cardstock were distressed with scissors and ink before attaching it to a fuchsia mat with hand stitching.  A bit of ribbon was tied around the bottom before it was secured to the front of the prepared card base with dimensional foam.

The background was created with Penny Black’s slapstick stamp called “Design Spotter”.  The mixture of large and small dots stamped in Key Lime VersaMagic adds a fun and festive touch to white cardstock.

I have one more Halloween treat to share this week and hope you can pop back for a peek.
