Home Decor - Daisy Lampshade

This is another home decor project that I created last summer.

Published in Crafts 'n Things - June 2010

I found a "Ready-to-Cover" template at JoAnn's which took all the guesswork out of calculating the cone shape for this 4 1/2-inch lampshade.

After stamping and coloring the daisies, pom-pom fringe was attached around the bottom.

Yellow silk piping added a nice finish to the top.

I think these are a fun way to change the look of a lamp and they can be interchanged throughout the year with other personalized designs and themes.

Have a fabulous week,
Elizabeth

Supplies:
Penny Black Stamps:  3950K Sun-Kisssed
Hollywood Lights:  Ready-to-Cover Lampshade

Home Decor - Lotion/Soap Dispenser

I found this plain lotion/soap dispenser at my local Dollar Store.  As soon as I saw that it had flat sides, I immediately thought of stamping possibilities.

Published in Crafts 'n Things - October 2010

This Penny Black stamp called “Daisy Fields” was quick and easy to color with Copic markers.  The ink was “re-activated” with a spray of Colorless Blending Solution prior to stamping.

A little piece of American Crafts ribbon was the finishing touch.

"Blah to Beautiful" in just minutes!!

All next week on the Penny Black Blog Easter cards will be featured.  Be sure to hop over to see all the "glittery" greetings.

Have a fun weekend….

Halloween Trio

Happy Friday!

Today is an extra special day for me since I will be picking my husband up at the airport this evening.  He has been out of town for business this past week and I can't wait to see him!

Another reason I am excited is that the sweet girls at Crafts 'n Things (Dawn, Abby and Teresa) said I could share these pictures of projects that were published in their October 2010 issue.  It is always an honor to have artwork selected by them and featured in their magazine.

This stamp could also be used for a non-Halloween occasion.  Simply omit inking the pumpkin face inside the balloon.

If you are having a difficult time finding cellophane treat bags here is an alternative.  Many convenience stores have pre-packaged candy corn.  They are usually 2 for $1.  You can purchase a set and cover the existing topper!

This box holds a small Ghiradelli candy bar.  Yum!  Who doesn't like chocolate?!  Although we all have different tastes - this box will also hold a pack of sticky notes.   Just change the theme and colors and it would be a great little "thinking of you" gift.

For complete instructions and patterns or for 288 more fabulous fall ideas, be sure to check out this issue!

Have a great weekend,
Elizabeth
