All this week Penny Black will be showcasing elegant designs and I am excited to share my interpretation as I host their blog today.
To begin, a small piece of ivory cardstock was edged with Delicata Golden Glitz ink, wrapped with ribbon, embellished with brads and attached to the card base with dimensional foam.
Next, the holly and berries were stamped on white cardstock with VersaMark Watermark ink and heat embossed in gold. The image was trimmed with a slight white border which was then colored with green Copics. The leaves and berries were glittered and the piece was set aside to dry.
To finish, the trimmed embellishment was nestled between a filigree foil paper die-cut distressed with Shabby Shutters and a white cardstock die-cut stamped with the sentiment.
TIP: When working with light-weight decorative papers, I like to reinforce them with another die-cut from white cardstock. This adds thickness and it is easier to elevate with dimensional foam.
Have a wonderful and elegant day,
Elizabeth
